about Kate SMyth

Kate Smyth is a naturopath and endurance female running coach

Kate certainly knows what it’s like to face challenges when pursuing a dream.

In 2000 while watching the Sydney Olympic women’s marathon, the hair stood up on the back of her neck. Up until that point she had enjoyed recreational running but had no idea what it took to be an elite athlete. From that moment everything in her life changed.

Fast forward exactly 8 years, 50,000 kilometers, and 10,000 hours of training, she ran into an Olympic stadium in the 2008 Beijing Olympic games for Australia. She is remembered by Australians for her courageous Commonwealth Games marathon finish where she staggered across the line.

Kate believes there isn’t just one way to better health and endurance running performance. Her mission is to educate and empower female athletes of all sporting interests to make the most out of being a female athlete through a holistic and balanced approach.

On the back of her deep desire to help other endurance runners overcome challenges, she now provides female friendly coaching, naturopathic medicince (naturopathy) and sports nutrition to recreational and elite athletes. Many of her patients seek help for anaemia, iron deficiency, gut health, PMS, bone health and menopause.

Kate is passionate about providing realistic, practical, and effective options that are tailored to the individual.
